Under the deceptively Hispanic stage name of Sky Lopez, Corrie Floris is actually a mix of Dutch and Indonesian. However, with her dark brown eyes, luscious dark hair, the proud tilt of her chin and a coy smile, Sky Lopez exudes the vibrant fire present in all Latinos. Moreover, her sharp eyes and string of tattoos running down her left arm indicate that she is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. Despite her tough exterior, Sky Lopez can also appear feminine, elegant, and warm. It’s this dissonance in physical qualities that intrigues her audience, drawing in new fans every day.
Sky Lopez entered the adult entertainment industry in 1999 at twenty-four years old, doing both acting and directing. She committed to an exclusive contract with Vivid Entertainment, becoming a well-sought Vivid Girl, and landed another exclusive contract with Shane’s World Studios. Additionally, Sky Lopez was nominated for the highly-coveted AVN award in 2005. Though she was successful and popular, Sky Lopez retired in 2005, just shy of being thirty years old. Unlike many pornographic models and actors, Sky did not retire because of her age. Rather, she retired because she became disillusioned by the adult entertainment industry. She claimed that it was, “a long, exhausting, emotional winding road that leads to nowhere but self-destruction.” She also calls it “an ugly world. Not one I would recommend for anyone.” These worlds were powerful and contained an air of finality that no one dared contest.
Now, Sky Lopez is an aspiring hip-hop artist. Her stage name is now known as Sky “Spring Break” Lopez, leaving the audience to wonder about her Spring Break antics. After denouncing the adult entertainment industry, Sky Lopez became a devout Christian. She claims that she was saved by one of her dreams, in which it revealed her true self and purpose. While studying Bible theology, Sky Lopez did some soul-searching and realized that she needs to develop a closer relationship with God and return to break-dancing and hip-hop.
